The malleable ProFem Gehrung pessary with a supporting membrane is primarily used for a significant cystocele or rectocele and may also provide relief for a second or third-degree uterine prolapse. This pessary can be manually shaped to accommodate individual problems and anatomies. This pessary is made from high quality medical grade silicone and is for single patient use. The use of silicone makes the pessary flexible, easier to insert and more forgiving when in position. Your health professional will assist you with working out the right type of pessary and size required. If the pessary becomes discoloured or odorous the pessary should be replaced. The pessary should be replaced after 12 months.
